Recently, I received one of those continuously forwarding emails that everyone just forwards on. It gave lots of disturbing - correct, I might add- information about what is going on in our country and in the end it said
"I want my country back".
I didn't forward the email but I did think about the words which become just words if we don't consciously put forth the effort to be involved in our communities, cities, counties and country. Our environment, which is all that makes up our lives, is the way it is because of the blinders (as one customer put it) we have put on. This of course allows others to do for us and proves to be an easy way out. In the meantime our environment is quietly changing without us being aware.
To have heavy industrial business such as the intermodial logistic park or better known as rail yard is not what most choose to live in. Here in Gardner this will happen if we don't care enough to be involved. For those of you that live in Johnson County and the surrounding area this will effect you also through traffic, air, water, quality of life. What happens here effects all.
There are other communities in the US experiencing the same invasion to their cities and counties and they are fighting back also. What happens there effects all.
There is much information on this website please take the time to read through it. Get involved with the reality of life there will be if you put the blinders on.
